Anoosh Afifi, M.S., D.D.S

I am passionate about the art and science of dentistry, and I feel fortunate to work in a profession where I am able to create and maintain healthy, beautiful smiles for my patients. Throughout my 30 (plus) years as a dentist, I have met so many wonderful people with unique backgrounds and ethnicities, and this has enriched my life immensely. Their appreciation of what we do for them is my most meaningful reward.

I have been in private practice in Seattle since 1987.

I live in the Seattle area with my wife, two daughters, and our family dog. I stay active with cycling and skiing, and also enjoy cooking. I volunteer surgical dental care to low-income patients at Swedish Hospital in cooperation with the Seattle-King County Dental Society.

I have successfully completed more than 1000 hours of postgraduate training in surgical implantology, full-mouth rehabilitation, endodontics, periodontics, and TMJ disorders at institutions that include:

Shalane

I assist Dr. Afifi with many patient procedures, help with IV sedation, and prepare rooms for patients. I enjoy meeting new people every day and helping them meet their dental goals. Dr. Afifi is very detail-oriented, which makes him an excellent dentist!

Outside the office, I am a part time clinical instructor in the dental assisting program. I am married and enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I also love to travel when I get a chance.

I have worked with Dr. Afifi for more than 25 years: scheduling appointments, presenting treatments to patients, processing insurance claims, and being a patient advocate with insurance companies. It is great to see our patients improve their dental health with our help, and most gratifying to see their happy smiles. Dr. Afifi truly cares for his patients and loves his job. He takes time to listen and loves educating his patients.

I am married with two daughters and one dog. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, skiing, traveling, and volunteering.

I have been in the dental field for over 30 years working as an assistant, office manager, patient care coordinator or an educator. I started working at Dr. Afifi’s office in 1998, and continue to work part time. I like working with Dr. Afifi because he always strives to provide the best possible dental care for his patients. In addition, our staff fosters the team approach to patient care.

As an educator, I am also director of the Dental Assisting program at the Lake Washington Institute of Technology. My husband and I have been together since 1983. I have two dogs, and I enjoy working out, reading, needlepoint, puzzling and of course spending time with my husband and dogs.
